Now a software to monitor & notify mobile's radiation

A software called Tawkon has been developed by an Israeli company that can monitor the radiation of your mobile phone. And that's not all. The software will also alert the users if the levels are very high.

Already available in Blackberry handsets, the software will soon be launched in Android based phones and Nokia's Symbian.

Gil Friedlander, CEO & Co-Founder, Tawkon said, "We are the first solution that can be downloaded to a phone."

The purpose stated for the application development is cited to reduce phone user's exposure to emissions without having to give up their phone. The application monitors the phone user and if radiation levels reach a threshold called the "red zone" an alert is emitted along with suggestions to minimise exposure.

On many phones the antenna is on the bottom and often covered by the user's hand, causing the phone to emit more radiation. Connecting an earpiece or switching on speakerphone will reduce radiation exposure.
