Facebook takes over Google in surfing time

It has been revealed that people now spend more time on Facebook than searching on Google, which was once the most used site. In fact, one of every ten internet minutes of netizens is spend on Facebook.

The report comes from ComScore. It revealed that till last August users spent below five percent of their time on Facebook, which now has grown to 9.9 percent. This translates to 41.1 million minutes spent on Facebook in the month of August this year by the users.

Facebook leads the pack in terms of being the most used site with most minutes spent on it. Google and related searches like Google news and YouTube come at a close second while Yahoo gains the third spot.

Facebook has experienced success in a short span of time. Started in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook currently has millions of users worldwide.
