Nabi, the First Android Tablet for Kids specification price

Uninor on Top as India's GSM Base Grows 1.15 Percent

India's GSM mobile subscribers base grew 1.15 percent in October with an addition of over 7.12 million subscribers. The share new telecom operator Uninor alone was 2.67 million subscribers.

The total number of GSM subscribers in the country crossed 625.4 million in October as against 618.28 million the previous month, data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) showed Monday.

Mobile Users Can Now Send 200 SMSes a Day


Mobile phone users can now send up to 200 SMSes a day.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) raised the earlier cap of 100 messages following requests from telcos and consumers.

"The authority has received representations from some service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The authority has ... decided to increase the limit," it said in a statement.
