Microsoft windows dominated the desktop market for 10 years from the time they launched Windows 95. Steve's iOS brought down the market in the year 2007 and Windows Vista was a great failure of the entire Windows' operating system. So serious efforts were made for windows 7 but they were not lucky enough. Now it is the Windows 8 which has already made a lot of buzz in the town. The tablet centric multitouch interface is the main topic of discussion among all. Here are a few things listed which all Windows fans and desktop users should know about the latest operating system. 


1. Windows 8 Runs On ARM Chips:

Windows running on ARM chips has finally authorized by the Steven Sinofsky, the president of Windows division, Microsoft. But there are complications when it comes to up gradation of the Windows 7 operating system to Windows 8. As Windows 8 is the only OS which can run on the devices powered by ARM based architectures. This will allow the OS to work on both desktop and tablets

This time it is the metro interface that's going to take all the credits as this is said to be the one of the riskiest decision by Microsoft. Microsoft plans to amalgamate its PC gaming and console gaming experience optimistically by bringing Xbox live on the desktop 

. But Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb, the director of programming for Xbox, wrote in a blog post that "Bringing Xbox Live to Windows 8 is part of our vision to bring you all the entertainment you want, shared with the people you care about, made easy." 






5. Windows 8 integrates Cloud Features:

Windows 8 features will be incorporated with Microsoft's cloud based services. SkyDrive account will be provided for ever 

y Windows 8 user. Accessing files stored on SkyDrive will be similar to the accessing done in the local machines. The OS will allow the user to connect to the other system if it also uses SkyDrive. This will permit the user to transfer files from the one system to another even when the firewall of the system is turned on

l allow the users to experience the taste of software by offering the trial versions. Microsoft will recommend the authorized applications like games, productivity and photography. Non metro style desktop apps will also be available in the Windows apps store.
