Google to Launch Google Music
People can buy artists merchandise on video hosting site YouTube with the launch of Google's 'Merch Store'. Google's new store will help musicians sell items such as digital downloads, concert tickets, T-shirts, stickers, posters and more to millions of people who watch You Tube hosted videos.
The Merch Store will team up with affiliates including Popspin for merchandise, Concert tickets; Songkick for concerts, iTunes and Amazon for music download. The partnership is great news for musicians who will now be able to generate additional revenue from e-commerce without sending fans in search of third-party sites.
