10 new super apps with apple iOS 5

Apple iOS 5 is available with more than 200 new features and it's really interesting to see that its certain features will essentially lead many other users to delete third party apps that existed prior to iOS 5, provided certain functionality that is now part of the operating system itself.

Here are such 10 third party apps which are killed by Apples new iOS 5. 




1. Instapaper and Read It Later

Apple introduced a new Reading List feature to Mobile Safari with iOS 5, allowing users to save a page for later reading with just a tap. The popular Instapaper and Read It Later apps work under a very similar concept.

The new Safari has a feature that enables you to add the web page you are currently viewing to the Reader section which also syncs across all devices you own.

Boxcar is a great app for keeping track of all of your notifications including email, Twitter, Facebook, and many others. The new Notification Center on iOS 5 will in fact kill this app. There is no reason to continue using Boxcar in iOS 5. 


Notification Center brings together all of your push notifications, missed calls and texts, and emails in one easy to access notifications screen you can drag down from the top of your screen.

So many apps have been developed to overcome the challenge of wirelessly syncing the photos you take with your iPhone with your computer. Wi-Fi Sync costs $9.99 is a jailbreak app available in Cydia that allows you to sync wirelessly with your computer. 


Wi-Fi Sync is very simple to use, but iOS 5 will do it better, that syncs iTunes to mobile devices wirelessly and for free









6. Perfect Browser

iOS browser was previously the best on the market. It is the fastest and has the most features, including full-screen, rotation lock, and the ability to open new tabs in background. 


Perfect Browser had a lot of users leaving Safari behind. Now that iOS 5 is updating Safari with many features like private browsing and those crucial tabs, the upstart app is going to look much less attractive, if it's even viable at all







7. Dragon Dictation

Dragon Dictation is an easy-to-use voice recognition application that allows you to easily speak and instantly see your text or email messages. 


But the iOS 5 is built in Siri assistant is better in every way. It's a smart app that you can ask questions to, such as what the weather is or how to get to a certain restaurant. Apple cautioned that Siri is still in beta, so it might not be able to answer all of your questions, yet.

pple's brand new Cards app. Each Card from Apple costs $2.99, while each card from Postagram is $0.99. Postagram offers a compelling price, but most users will forget about it and just use Apple's solution. 












9. DropBox

DropBox is a cloud-based app offers simple, free file-sharing across multiple platforms, but now it seems destined to be remembered as a pre-cursor to the iCloud. 


Apple's service will seamlessly copy and sync documents, emails, calendar updates and contacts from a Mac or PC, over to your iPhone and iPad. Also, iCloud offers 5GB free storage, which is 3GB more than Dropbox does for the same.







10. Week Calendar
