Cheapest 3G Smartphones free idea

The telecom operator Idea Cellular unveiled its cheapest 3G smartphones at a price starting from 5,850. The company affirmed that its smartphones are cheapest in India hitting Bharti Airtel’s Beetel Magiq tablet, which is having a price tag of 9,999 and doubles up as a phone, and RCom’s 3G tablet priced at 12,999. Idea is rendering a data-bundling offer for 3G customers who buy the smartphone, which includes Idea TV, though it is not offering voice-bundling or video calling on the handsets.







The company has partnered with two handset makers namely Huawei and Zte to roll out Blade, a 3.5 screen smartphone  and ID 280, a 2.8 small screen smartphone, with a price tag of 7,992 and 5,850 respectively. The smartphones are based on Android 2.2 operating system and can be availed with Opera Mini browser 6 as well as other features including 30 pre-loaded apps. The smartphone packs a 3.2 MP Camera. GPS Navigator software, FM radio and MP3 Player, WiFi, Bluetooth, Social Media Apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, and pre-loaded Google and Youtube. The devices can operate as mobile phone, minicomputer, and also acts as a Wi-Fi route.


While introducing the new phones, Himanshu Kapania, Managing Director, Idea Cellular said, “Idea has always innovated to support the telecom services penetration in the country. In line with this commitment, Idea has introduced affordable, yet fully loaded 3G smartphones which will now fuel the aspirations of the evolving mobile user in India. The new smartphones will further drive our existing 3G services in areas of industrial and commercial activity, centers of learning, and high potential rural hinterlands.”
