Motion sensing for PC revealed by Asus

Asus is bringing motion-sensing technology for your personal computers. The idea stems from Kinect's motion-sensing depth technology and is expected to bring 3D experience in the PC. The system called the WAVI Xtion will be unveiled at the CES this week. Asus said that the multi-media system will be available in the second quarter of 2011.
Using this system, Asus states, users can browse multimedia content, access the Web and social networks, and experience a full body interaction with the PC. The technology used in the WAVI Xtion is adapted from Tel Aviv-based PrimeSense, also the company behind Kinect.

Kent Chien, General Manager, Asus said, "ASUS combines its wireless cross-room solution with PrimeSense's simple, intuitive, gesture-based control technology to allow users to enjoy and share PC content on TV with gestures."
