Samsung to launch Smartphone powered by 2 GHz processor
Samsung Electronics is supposedly working on a smartphone that would be powered by 2Ghz Dual-core Processor (with each core clocking at 2GHz)! Today, most of the laptops and desktops in the world are powered by 2Ghz - 4 Ghz processors. The Smartphone processors are evolving at a much faster rate than the PC Processors! Also, it's worthwhile to keep in mind that a single-core 4GHz processor would be outperformed by a dual-core 2GHz processor. The main reason being the superior multi-tasking capabilities offered by multi-core processors.
"We are planning to release a 2Ghz dual core CPU-equipped smartphone by next year," said a high-ranking official from the company. "This product will have the data processing capacities of a regular PC."
Samsung would be selling these processors to other mobile manufacturers too..!
